LOGISTICS

From our Canyoning Center, a 10 minute drive will take us to the lower parking site. Here, we will leave one or more vehicles, with dry clothing and towels. Then we will continue to the canyon entry point:

On foot, a 25 minute walk uphill
By automobile, 5 minutes

Once inside the canyon, our descent will start with a brief walk among the rocky bed, one small abseil, then a sequence of another 6 or 7 abseils, with exposed tie-in points, hanging pools and slides. The last waterfall can be descended as a single abseil, 35 meters long, or split into two abseils, respectively 16 and 19 meters. From the base of the last abseil, we continue walking along the canyon bed to reach the anchor point of the first waterfall of Rio Selvano, and 3 more hours of descent, with jumps and natural slides.

At the end of Rio Selvano, an easy 5 minute walk will lead us back to our Canyoning Center.

This route is recommended only for very fit, active participants and/or participants who already have some previous abseiling experience.

Isothermal wet suit in 5mm neoprene
Helmet*
Lifejacket flotation device * (to be requested and booked in advance)
Harness*
Descender, safety slings and carabiners*

*All Collective and Personal Protection Equipment used is conformant to current standards

WHAT TO BRING?

Polyester thermal shirt (base layer) to wear under the wetsuit,
Bathing suit,
Towel,
Gym/hiking shoes to wear into the canyon (they will get wet)
No rings on fingers.
If you wear eyeglasses, find a way to tie them on to avoid losing them; if you wear contact lenses, it is best if they are of the single-use type, and bring a spare pair!
A plastic bag to use for your shoes, socks and everything else that will be wet after the descent.
Canyoning boots can be rented at 5€ per person, to be requested when booking the descent.

INFORMATION

Before entering the canyon you will be informed about the characteristics and objective risks of the canyon,

on the behaviors to be followed for the safety of all and respect for the environment.

You will also be trained in rope maneuvers if necessary.

You will be accompanied by experienced Canyon guides with a diploma from the Italian Canyon Guides Association or with another equivalent diploma
